How to Cook SooFoo Original (with or without a rice cooker)
How do you convert dry SooFoo to cooked SooFoo? 1 cup of dry SooFoo prepared as directed equals 3 cups cooked. (1/3 cup dry = 1 cup wet)
1 cup of SooFoo
2 cups of water
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of salt (to taste)
Suggested Cooking Instructions (Serves 3-4)
We recommend you cook SooFoo in a rice cooker. If cooking in a rice cooker, combine ingredients and follow the rice cooker instructions. If cooking on a stove, put ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil and cover. Reduce heat to allow SooFoo to simmer and cook for 45-50 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed. Turn off burner and let stand uncovered for 10 minutes.
Results may vary. If too crunchy, add a little more water. If too soft, use a little less water.
